The flat, yet slightly undulating landscape is characterized by the typical local vegetation. Protected and encircled by pine trees, the central plain feels at once vast and intimate - shut off from the world, unspoilt and rewilded. The gnarled and sporadic population of protected cork oaks, whisper quietly of a long history.
The landscape and buildings are organised around a central body of water, which is surrounded by three interlocking, or broken circles, contained within a larger circle. Hands run along smooth surfaces, flowing curvature connects one space with another and then another. Sunlight bounces and streams through glass apertures, creating a soft interplay between light and shade that shifts with the passing hours.
